Most data-protection failures are not caused by malicious intent — they happen when a well-meaning employee shares a document without realising it contains sensitive personal information. Dockria's Sensitivity Labels remove the guesswork by classifying entire document classes as PHI (protected health information), PII (personally identifiable information), or confidential, and then enforcing the consequences automatically.

When a document class is marked as sensitive, access permissions tighten automatically. Only roles explicitly cleared for that classification can view, download, or share documents within the class. Sharing controls become more restrictive. Audit logging is intensified so that every access to sensitive material is captured for review. Administrators no longer have to manually configure protection on every new document — the classification does it for them.

Sensitivity is also surfaced clearly in the user interface. When a user opens a record marked PHI or PII, the classification is visible at a glance, reminding them that the document is subject to additional handling rules. This reduces accidental mishandling and reinforces a culture of data responsibility across the organisation.
